"Art, especially supreme art, adorns our world, enriches and inspires." ~ The Art of Awakening

Drop-in Art session Chenrezig Art Studio

Fridays
1.00pm - late afternoon

By Donation

These sessions are held in the unique Chenrezig Art studio, a place dedicated to Buddhist art. Aspiring to work with the amazing potential of the human mind in reaching our full potential, there are multiple holy objects made at the art studio, including stupas, thangkas and tsa tsas, that represent the embodied qualities of enlightened beings.

In these casual Friday drop-in sessions, participants are able to explore the art studio and get involved in the various creative activities voluntarily, or participate in these by-donation art sessions, ask questions about Buddhist art, learn to draw a buddhas portrait in the traditional method, or how to paint a statue in accord with the traditional methods.

For those who are interested in art more generally, participants are welcome to work on any kind of creative project with guidance and facilitation from Shan over the course of the afternoon.

All ages, religions and levels of experience are welcome!
